For our final project in our Technology Academy we were put in groups of about 5 people. Our task was to come up with a certain topic that is related to today's society and create an Ad-Campaign, for example texting and driving was a topic. And what we had to do was study and research a topic of our choice and combine it with our technology skills to make it public so everyone can see. The team I was on had a really complicated and challenging topic that not really many people knew about, in my perspective I believe like only 30 percent of the school knew what it was. Our topic dealt with S.T.E.M abbreviated for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We spent about 2 and a half months preparing ourselves to learn more about this topic. Everyday we came into the Tech classroom we immediately started working on this project fixing it, editing it, making the whole project appropriate enough and understandable for the younger audience. That was basically our whole motive for this project, to get our younger peers interested in this topic and hopefully get their futures started. Where I come in is the part where I get the medias attention by writing and sending out a press release explaining what we are doing at school and the events that are occurring. What I also wrote down on the press release was the top paying jobs that have to deal with S.T.E.M and how much those jobs pay. We had more workers with tasks to make the whole project possible. We had an account executive that was the captain and leader of the team, we had our cameraman and video person, we had an art director that was in charge of our posters, and we had a web designer that basically gathered up everyone else's work and put it up on the web for everyone to look at. We also opened and created a Twitter account for everyone that's on social media to follow and support us. I had a great time working with my group members and I gained plenty of knowledge about S.T.E.M and gained more confidence speaking in front of strangers, which was basically part of the finally. We ended up presenting all of our campaigns at an Advertising Company known as Ignited. Our link to our campaign is at the bottom left hand corner of the screen where it says S.T.E.M.
